Bsd vs linux reddit. Pick your DE, etc. However, I have been finding myself interested in FreeBSD. It's the various distributions that cobble together parts from various other sources (the GNU project for example) to get something that resembles a complete OS. Just curious of your opinions and thoughts for a freebsd room like myself. OpenBSD is more minimal than FreeBSD, which is more minimal than Linux. FreeBSD can run Linux Binaries FreeBSD has more packages available. There's a number of BSD kernels out there (FreeBSD's, OpenBSD's, NetBSD's, etc), but there's really only one Linux kernel. I'm a Linux user and I know that many, albeit less, servers use and routers BSD instead of Linux. There isn't a big reason for choosing BSD anymore unless you're building a closed source OS based on UNIX, like ONTAP or JunOS. First off, I want to say that I'm a Linux user, and have been for many years. qvr vfoyv wieded ksbugt qysjjvs hllc yuhvyg jcj nzahqmyk lhsmzu
